Toyota has launched the new 2026 Toyota Hilux in India with a completely redesigned exterior, upgraded interior, and several new technology features. The ninth-generation pickup truck is available in three variants, with prices starting from Rs. 31.99 lakh and going up to Rs. 36.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Toyota Hilux directly rivals the Isuzu V-Cross in the Indian market.

2026 Toyota Hilux Exterior
The 2026 Toyota Hilux gets a completely new front design with a bold TOYOTA lettering logo, slim LED headlamps with LED DRLs, a honeycomb-pattern grille, wide air intakes, a silver skid plate, and LED fog lamps. From the side, it features new 17-inch alloy wheels, a side footboard for easily coming inside and outside, electrically folding ORVMs, and a shark-fin antenna. At the rear, it gets vertically stacked LED tail lamps with C-shaped light signatures, TOYOTA lettering across the tailgate, and a redesigned bumper with an integrated side step for easier cargo access.

2026 Toyota Hilux Interior and Features
Inside, the new Toyota Hilux gets a redesigned dashboard with a 7-inch instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a three-spoke steering wheel with TOYOTA branding. It also features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, connected car technology, cruise control, a rear armrest with cup holders, a PM2.5 air filter, an 8-speaker audio system, a 360-degree camera, and Eco, Normal, and Sport drive modes. The cabin also gets soft-touch leatherette surfaces and welcome lighting.
The India-spec model misses ADAS, ventilated front seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
2026 Toyota Hilux Safety Features
The new Toyota Hilux comes equipped with seven airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), ABS with Brake Assist, front and rear parking sensors, TPMS and Isofix child-seat mounts.
2026 Toyota Hilux Engine
The 2026 Toyota Hilux is powered by a 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine producing 204 hp and 500 Nm, paired with a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. Toyota has discontinued the manual gearbox and introduced a new 4×2 automatic variant alongside the 4×4 versions. Unlike the Fortuner, the Hilux does not get Toyota’s 48V Neo Drive mild-hybrid system.
2026 Toyota Hilux Off-Road Features
The 4×4 variants of the new Toyota Hilux come with a low-range transfer case, electronic differential lock, multiple terrain modes, downhill assist control, traction control, and an auto limited-slip differential to improve off-road capability.
