With its powerful diesel engine and serious off-road hardware.
MG Majestor Specifications
The MG Majestor will be offered only with a diesel powertrain. Under the hood, it gets a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 213 bhp of power and 478 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, ensuring smooth gear shifts and strong performance on highways as well as rough terrains.

MG will offer the Majestor in two variants named Sharp and Savvy. Both variants will be available with different drivetrain options, including 2WD and 4WD. The Savvy variant will feature the more advanced four-wheel-drive system, which is specially designed for off-road capability. In addition, the SUV comes equipped with front, rear, and centre locking differentials, which significantly improve traction on challenging surfaces like mud, sand, and rocky trails.

One of the most impressive highlights of the MG Majestor is its proprietary M-Crawl system. This advanced system combines a low-speed transfer case with differential locks to allow the SUV to move in a slow and controlled manner over difficult terrain. It helps maintain stability and prevents sudden jerks while climbing steep slopes or crossing uneven surfaces. Inside the cabin, dedicated drive mode buttons and a terrain selector make it easy to switch between different driving modes based on road conditions.
As MG’s flagship ICE SUV, the Majestor will compete directly with premium models such as the Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner, and MG Gloster, along with the Volkswagen Tayron. The competition in this segment is strong, but the Majestor’s powerful twin-turbo diesel engine and advanced 4WD technology give it a solid advantage.
