Kia Syros EV Launched at Rs. 13.49 Lakh, 526km Range and Available with BaaS

Kia has launched the Syros EV in India at a starting price of Rs. 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the brand’s most affordable electric SUV in the country. It is the second locally manufactured Kia EV after the Carens Clavis EV and is offered with two battery pack options, delivering a claimed range of up to 526km. Deliveries are scheduled to begin from 30 July.

To make EV ownership more accessible, Kia has also introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option. Under this scheme, the Syros EV starts at Rs. 7.99 lakh, with an additional battery usage charge of Rs. 3.3 per kilometre. Buyers will also get access to the K-Charge network, which includes more than 20,300 charging points across India.

Inside, the Kia Syros EV features a 30-inch Trinity display integrating the digital instrument cluster, infotainment system, and climate controls. It also offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Harman Kardon 8-speaker audio system, ventilated front and rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, a powered driver’s seat, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, and a 16-litre frunk.

On the safety front, the Syros EV comes equipped with six airbags, Level 2 ADAS with 16 autonomous driving functions, a 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, front, rear and side parking sensors, ESC, hill start assist, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, TPMS, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
