Kawasaki has officially launched the 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 8.63 lakh. While the launch brings some fresh updates, there is one downside for buyers — the new model is Rs 15,000 more expensive than the outgoing 2025 version.
Despite the price hike, the 2026 Versys 650 continues to be one of the most popular middleweight adventure touring bikes in India, thanks to its powerful engine, comfortable ride quality, and road-biased ADV nature.
2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 – What’s New?
The biggest update for 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 is the new colour scheme. Kawasaki has introduced a fresh and premium-looking shade called Metallic Graphite Gray / Metallic Spark Black, which gives the bike a more modern and sporty appearance.
Another important update is that the 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 is now E20 fuel compliant, meaning it can run on petrol blended with 20% ethanol. Kawasaki has already started introducing E20 compliance across its lineup, including models like the 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX, making the Versys 650 more future-ready.

Engine and Performance Details

The overall design and mechanical setup remain the same as the 2025 model. Powering the 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 is a parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that continues to deliver strong performance. The engine produces 66 bhp of power and 62 Nm of torque, which is impressive for a bike in this segment. This engine setup is known for its smooth power delivery, making it ideal for highway touring, long rides, and daily cruising. Whether you are riding in the city or on open roads, the Versys 650 offers a balanced and refined riding experience.
Suspension, Wheels, and Braking Setup
In terms of hardware, the 2026 Versys 650 carries forward the same reliable components from the previous model.
- Front Suspension: Inverted forks
- Rear Suspension: Monoshock unit
The bike is a road-biased adventure tourer, which means it focuses more on comfort and stability on paved roads rather than hardcore off-roading. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels at both the front and rear, enhancing road grip and handling. For braking duties, this braking setup provides confident stopping power, especially during high-speed touring, Kawasaki has equipped the bike with:
- Twin 300mm disc brakes at the front
- Single 250mm disc brake at the rear
