MG Motor India has officially launched the 2026 MG Hector Facelift in the Indian market, and it comes with a surprising price tag. The new Hector facelift is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it Rs 1.77 lakh cheaper than the previous model. This aggressive pricing makes the MG Hector facelift one of the most value-packed SUVs in its segment.
The company has confirmed that the MG Hector diesel variant price will be announced next year, while the current launch focuses on updated styling, premium features, and familiar engine options. With these updates, MG aims to strengthen Hector’s position in the competitive mid-size SUV segment.

The 2026 MG Hector facelift exterior clearly shows noticeable upgrades that make the SUV look more modern and bolder. At the front, the SUV gets a larger grille with a new honeycomb design, giving it a stronger road presence. Below the grille, MG has added a newly designed air dam, which enhances the overall sporty look.
The SUV continues with its split LED headlamp setup, which blends well with the updated front design. On the sides, the facelifted Hector now rides on new 18-inch alloy wheels, adding to its premium appeal.
At the rear, MG has refreshed the design with a large connected LED tail-lamp that runs end to end, making the SUV look wider and more stylish from behind.
2026 MG Hector Facelift Colour Options
MG has also introduced fresh colour options with the 2026 Hector facelift. Two new shades, Celadon Blue and Pearl White, have been added to the lineup. These new colours join the existing Aurora Silver, Starry Black, and Glaze Red shades. With these additions, the total number of colour options is now five, giving buyers more choices to match their personal style.

2026 MG Hector Facelift Interior

Inside the cabin, the 2026 MG Hector facelift interior feels more premium and well thought out. The 5-seater Hector gets a classy grey interior, while the 6-seater and 7-seater Hector Plus models feature a dual-tone interior that enhances the overall comfort and visual appeal.
The highlight of the cabin is the massive 14-inch i-Smart touchscreen infotainment system placed at the center of the dashboard. This system supports multiple smart features and also allows gesture controls, making it easy to use while driving. Drivers can adjust the climate control using two-finger gestures and manage audio functions using three-finger gestures, which feels futuristic and user-friendly. In addition to this, the driver also gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, which displays essential driving information clearly.

The 2026 MG Hector facelift Key features include front ventilated seats, 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, and a large panoramic sunroof. Other convenience features include a push start-stop button, 360-degree camera, and advanced connectivity options that make everyday driving more comfortable and enjoyable.
2026 MG Hector Facelift Engine
Under the hood, the 2026 MG Hector facelift engine options remain the same as the outgoing model. Both the updated Hector and Hector Plus continue with familiar petrol and diesel powertrains.
The MG Hector petrol engine is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder unit that produces 143hp and 250Nm of torque. This engine is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic gearbox, offering flexibility for different driving preferences.
The upcoming MG Hector diesel variant is expected to continue with the 2.0-litre diesel engine, which delivers 170hp and 350Nm of torque. While the earlier diesel models were offered only with a manual gearbox, it is still not confirmed whether MG will introduce an automatic transmission for the diesel version this time.
