Finally, the South Korean car manufacturer Kia has officially launched the new-gen 2026 New Kia Seltos in India. The popular midsize SUV now comes with a fresh design, more features, improved safety, and updated technology, making it one of the strongest contenders in its segment.
The regular ex-showroom price of new 2026 Kia Seltos begins from Rs 10.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.99 lakh for the top variant. Bookings for the 2026 Kia Seltos are already open since 11 December with a token amount of Rs 25,000, and deliveries are expected to begin from mid-January 2026.
New 2026 Kia Seltos Exterior Design
The 2026 Kia Seltos exterior has received a bold makeover and now looks more premium and SUV-like than before. Kia has gone for a boxy and muscular design, which gives the Seltos a strong road presence. At the front, the SUV features a wide grille paired with sharp, vertically oriented LED DRLs and sleek main headlamps.
The gloss black body cladding, blacked-out pillars, and butterfly-style door handles (similar to the Mahindra XUV700) add a modern touch. At the rear, the edge-to-edge LED tail-light bar enhances the width of the SUV and gives it a futuristic look. Overall, the new Seltos looks more aggressive, stylish, and premium compared to the outgoing model.
2026 Kia Seltos Interior Design
Step inside the new Kia Seltos 2026, and you will immediately notice the upgraded cabin. The SUV now gets a dual-tone Smoky Black and White interior, finished with elegant white accents for a more upmarket feel.
The dashboard looks completely fresh, featuring a dual-screen setup with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 5-inch HVAC control screen. Kia has also added a new 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, making the cabin feel sportier and more modern. The interior of the 2026 Seltos is designed to offer comfort, space, and a premium driving experience, even for long journeys.

Kia has loaded the new 2026 Kia Seltos with plenty of segment-leading features. Some of the key highlights include 64-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone connectivity.
Other premium features include dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, a wireless charging pad, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and advanced connected car technology. These features make the Seltos one of the most tech-rich SUVs in its class.
2026 Kia Seltos Safety Package
When it comes to safety, the 2026 Kia Seltos makes a big step forward. It now comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), offering features that enhance both safety and driving convenience.
Standard safety features include 6-airbags, ESC, front and rear disc brakes, hill hold assist, TPMS, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a reverse camera. Kia has also improved the bodyshell rigidity with its new K3 platform, which increases overall structural strength. With these updates, Kia claims the new Seltos has the potential to achieve a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, making it one of the safest SUVs in its segment.
New 2026 Kia Seltos Engine and Gearbox Options
Under the hood, the 2026 Kia Seltos continues with its trusted engine lineup while also preparing for future electrification. It still offers three 1.5-litre engines: a 115hp naturally aspirated petrol, a 116hp diesel, and a 160hp turbo-petrol engine.
Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and CVT for the NA petrol, a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic for the diesel, and a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT for the turbo-petrol variant. In addition to these engines, Kia has confirmed a petrol-hybrid version, which is expected to arrive by 2027, making the Seltos more future-ready.

2026 Kia Seltos Dimensions and Size
The new Kia Seltos dimensions have increased compared to the previous model. It now measures 4,460mm in length, 1,830mm in width, and 1,635mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,690mm. This means the SUV is 95mm longer, 30mm wider, and has an 80mm longer wheelbase, resulting in better cabin space, improved legroom, and a more stable ride quality.
