BMW S 1000 R 2026 is Relaunching in India

The BMW S 1000 R is officially making its return to India in 2026 with some exciting updates for bike lovers. Known for its sharp performance and aggressive design, this naked sportbike now comes with a refreshed look and more power, making the ride even more thrilling.

The BMW 2026 S 1000 R features a new split-headlight design. This change replaces the old single-unit headlamp and gives the bike a sportier and more aggressive road presence, while keeping its streetfighter identity intact.

Powering the bike is with 999cc, inline-4, liquid-cooled engine, but it has been tuned to produce 170hp, which is 5hp more than before, along with 114Nm of torque. With this setup, the bike can sprint from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). These numbers make the BMW S 1000 R extremely brutal, responsive, and perfect for riders who crave speed and precision.

In terms of features, the bike is packed with advanced technology for better control and safety. It comes with three riding modes – Rain, Road, and Dynamic, a 6.5-inch TFT display for clear information, and a six-axis IMU with ABS and Dynamic Traction Control. These features allow the bike to adapt to different riding conditions, whether it’s wet roads, city rides, or high-speed performance.

BMW is offering the S 1000 R in three package options which is Dynamic, Comfort, and M Sports, so riders can choose what suits them best. The bike is priced at ₹19.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India), placing it in direct competition with other high-performance nakeds like the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP, Ducati Streetfighter V4, and Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS.
