Nissan Announces Price Hike from January 2026 – Magnite Buyers Alert

Nissan has officially announced a price hike of up to 3 percent across its range from January 1, 2026. Currently, the Nissan Magnite is the only car sold by the Japanese carmaker in the Indian market, which means the upcoming price increase will directly impact buyers planning to purchase the compact SUV in the coming months.

Nissan Magnite Expected Price Hike Details

The Nissan Magnite price hike from January 2026 is expected to be noticeable but still within a manageable range for buyers. According to available information, the compact SUV could see a price increase of up to Rs 32,000. Earlier in 2025, Nissan had reduced the Magnite’s prices by Rs 52,000 to Rs 1 lakh following a revision in the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Currently, the ex-showroom price of the Nissan Magnite ranges between Rs 5.62 lakh and Rs 10.76 lakh.

After the price hike takes effect in January 2026, the Magnite’s prices are expected to increase by around Rs 17,000 to Rs 32,000, pushing the new price range to approximately Rs 5.79 lakh to Rs 11.08 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite the increase, the Nissan Magnite is likely to remain one of the most affordable and value-packed compact SUVs in India.

Along with announcing the price hike from 1st January 2026, Nissan has also shared its future roadmap for the Indian market. The company aims to introduce new models in India by 2026, signalling a stronger long-term commitment to the country.

For 2026, Nissan has confirmed new launches for India, starting with a new compact MPV. The first model will be the Nissan Gravite compact MPV, which is expected to arrive in showrooms by March 2026. The Gravite will be a badge-engineered version of the Renault Triber, but Nissan plans to differentiate it with a redesigned exterior and a different interior colour scheme to give it a distinct identity.
