Toyota has unveiled the Toyota Fortuner Flex Fuel (E100) and Fortuner B50 Biodiesel Concept at the 2026 Indonesia Motor Show. While both SUVs retain the familiar Fortuner design, Toyota has focused on introducing cleaner fuel technologies that can reduce emissions without compromising performance.
The E100 Flex Fuel Fortuner is engineered to run on 100 percent bioethanol (E100), while the B50 Biodiesel version combines a diesel engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for improved efficiency. Here’s everything you need to know.
Toyota Fortuner Flex Fuel (E100)
The exterior design and features of the Fortuner Flex Fuel (E100) remain unchanged. The biggest updates are to its engine and fuel system. To support 100 percent bioethanol (E100), Toyota has installed new fuel lines, hose pipes, an updated engine head, and several other mechanical components. This model is powered by a 2.7-litre petrol engine that produces 161 bhp and 243 Nm of torque. It comes with a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) layout.

Toyota Fortuner B50 Biodiesel
Toyota also showcased the Fortuner B50 Biodiesel concept. It retains the existing 2.8-litre diesel engine, which produces 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. This model comes with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. It also features a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, which is expected to deliver improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
