Tata’s Electric Car Sales Just Set a Shocking New Record for July 2026.

Tata Motors has reported a strong sales performance for July 2026, with passenger vehicle (PV) sales witnessing significant year-on-year growth. The company sold a total of 63,760 passenger vehicles across domestic and international markets, registering a 59 percent increase compared to the same month last year.

The biggest highlight of the month was Tata Motors’ electric vehicle (EV) business, which recorded its highest-ever July sales. EV sales surged by 114 per cent, reflecting the growing demand for Tata’s electric car lineup in India and overseas.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Sales July 2026

Tata Motors recorded total passenger vehicle sales of 63,760 units in July 2026, compared to 40,175 units sold in July 2025. The company’s domestic passenger vehicle business remained the key growth driver, while international markets also posted steady gains.

Domestic passenger vehicle sales reached 62,611 units, marking a 58 percent increase over 39,521 units sold in July 2025. Sales also improved slightly over 62,076 units recorded in June 2026.

International business continued its positive momentum with 1,149 units sold in July, compared to 654 units during the same period last year. The figure also exceeded June 2026’s 1,007 units, indicating steady growth in overseas markets.

Tata Punch Achieves Highest-Ever Monthly Sales

One of the major highlights of July was the outstanding performance of the Tata Punch, which recorded its highest-ever monthly sales since launch. Tata Motors also revealed that customer bookings remained strong across both its passenger vehicle and electric vehicle portfolios.

Tata Motors EV Sales July 2026

The electric vehicle segment delivered another record-breaking month for Tata Motors. Total EV sales across domestic and international markets stood at 15,217 units, registering a remarkable 114 percent year-on-year growth over 7,124 units sold in July 2025.
