The Suzuki Katana, one of the most stylish retro street sport bikes, has now been officially discontinued in India. Launched as a premium offering, the Katana was admired for its unique blend of retro-inspired design and modern technology. However, production has been stopped.
Before being discontinued, the Suzuki Katana price in India was around ₹13,62,969 (ex-showroom). Despite its premium positioning, the motorcycle struggled in sales, which is one of the key reasons for its exit from the Indian market.
Suzuki Katana Design, Style & Features
The Suzuki Katana stood out with its aggressive yet retro styling, inspired by the original 1980s Katana. It came with sharp body lines, a muscular fuel tank, premium finishes, and advanced riding features. The dual-channel ABS, multiple riding modes (A, B, C), and assist & slipper clutch made it a complete performance machine while keeping comfort in mind.

Paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and chain drive, the bike could achieve a Suzuki Katana top speed of 240 kmph. Riders could expect a Suzuki Katana mileage of up to 23 kmpl, making it one of the most efficient superbikes in its class.
Suzuki Katana Colors
The Katana was offered in two striking colors – Metallic Mystic Silver (BCX) and Metallic Stellar Blue (YUA) – both of which highlighted its bold and premium appeal.
