Italian motorcycle brand Ducati has officially launched its most extreme and track-focused superbike in India, the Ducati Panigale V4 R, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 84.99 lakh. This flagship model is not just a superbike, but a race-derived machine built for international championships, now adapted for Indian roads. Bookings for the Panigale V4 R are open across authorised Ducati dealerships in India. The Panigale V4 R is designed for riders who want pure performance, advanced technology, and MotoGP-inspired engineering in a street-legal motorcycle.
Ducati Panigale V4 R Engine and Performance
At the heart of the Ducati Panigale V4 R is a 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine, developed directly from Ducati’s racing program. The engine produces a massive 218 HP at 15,500 RPM, making it one of the most powerful production motorcycles in India.
The redline stretches up to 16,500 RPM in top gear, showcasing its true racing DNA. Ducati has used lighter pistons and a revised crankshaft, inspired by MotoGP technology, to deliver sharper throttle response and better performance at high engine speeds.
For riders who want even more power, Ducati offers an optional racing exhaust, which boosts output to 235 HP. When paired with Ducati Corse Performance Oil, power can go as high as 239 HP. In full racing setup, the Panigale V4 R can achieve top speeds beyond 330 km/hr, placing it among the fastest motorcycles in the world.

MotoGP-Inspired Aerodynamics and Design
Aerodynamics play a key role in the Ducati Panigale V4 R’s performance. Ducati has introduced Corner Sidepods on a production motorcycle for the first time. This MotoGP-inspired design improves stability by creating additional ground effect during high lean angles, especially on the track.
The updated winglets now generate around 25 percent more downforce at 270 km/hr compared to the previous generation. This extra downforce improves front-end grip, braking stability, and confidence during high-speed cornering. The bike is finished in classic Ducati Red, reinforcing its aggressive and premium racing identity.

Suspension, Brakes, and Tyres
The Ducati Panigale V4 R is built on Ducati’s Front Frame chassis layout, designed for maximum feedback and precision. It features a hollow symmetrical swingarm, which works perfectly with modern slick and high-performance tyres.
Suspension duties are handled by top-spec Öhlins components, including:
- Öhlins NPX 25-30 front fork
- Öhlins TTX36 rear shock
Braking performance is equally impressive, thanks to Brembo Hypure monobloc calipers, delivering strong and consistent stopping power even during aggressive riding. Grip comes from forged aluminium wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V4 tyres, which are known for their excellent track performance.
Weight, Fuel Tank, and Build Quality
Despite its powerful engine and advanced hardware, the Ducati Panigale V4 R remains lightweight. It weighs 186.5 kg without fuel, helping improve agility and acceleration. The bike features a 17-litre aluminium fuel tank and a lightweight lithium battery, further reducing overall weight and enhancing performance.
Advanced Features and Riding Technology
The Panigale V4 R comes loaded with cutting-edge electronics and rider aids, making it easier to control despite its extreme power. It features Ducati’s Racing Gearbox, where neutral is placed below first gear, a setup commonly used in racing. A new Race Brake Control software allows riders to use the rear brake more effectively during corner entry, improving stability and lap times.
All rider information is displayed on a large 6.9-inch TFT screen, which also includes a Grip Meter. This unique feature shows the estimated available traction in real time, helping riders understand grip levels while riding on track.
