Hyundai India has officially expanded its commercial vehicle lineup with the launch of Prime T-Permit cars for fleet and taxi operators. The company has introduced Prime HB and Prime SD for the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Hyundai Aura, specially designed for daily commercial use. These new variants focus on low running cost, high safety, and long-term reliability, making them ideal for taxi and fleet businesses across India.
Hyundai Prime HB and Prime SD Price in India
The newly launched Hyundai Prime T-Permit models come with competitive pricing to attract fleet buyers. The Hyundai Prime HB is priced from Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Hyundai Prime SD starts at Rs 6.90 lakh (ex-showroom). For comparison, the regular Grand i10 Nios CNG starts at Rs 7.17 lakh, and the standard Aura CNG is also priced from Rs 6.90 lakh. This makes the Prime HB more affordable than the regular Nios CNG, especially for commercial use.
The Prime HB and Prime SD are based on the regular Grand i10 Nios and Aura, but they have been optimized for fleet operations. Hyundai has removed some non-essential features to keep costs low, while still offering comfort and strong safety for passengers. Despite being fleet-focused cars, Hyundai has ensured that these models do not feel basic or uncomfortable.
Hyundai Prime HB and Prime SD Engine and Mileage
Both models are powered by Hyundai’s reliable 1.2-litre petrol + CNG engine paired with a manual transmission gearbox. This engine is well known for its smooth performance and low maintenance cost. In terms of fuel efficiency, Hyundai claims impressive mileage figures. The Prime SD (Aura) delivers up to 28.40 km/kg, while the Prime HB (Grand i10 Nios) offers 27.32 km/kg. These numbers make them highly cost-effective for long-distance and city taxi usage. Both cars also come with a factory-fitted 80 kmph speed limiter, which is mandatory for commercial vehicles and helps improve safety and fuel efficiency.

Comfort and Interior Features
Even though these are T-permit vehicles, Hyundai has included several useful features for passenger comfort. Both the Prime HB and Prime SD get rear AC vents, front Type-C charging ports, and power windows on all four doors. These features ensure a comfortable experience for both drivers and passengers, especially during long rides.
Additionally, buyers can choose optional accessories such as a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also an option to install a vehicle location tracking system with four panic buttons, which is especially useful for taxi and ride-hailing services.
Strong Safety Package as Standard
Safety is a major highlight of the Hyundai Prime T-Permit cars. Both models come with 6 airbags as standard, which is rare in the commercial car segment. Along with this, 3-point seatbelts for all seats are also provided, ensuring better protection for every passenger. These safety features make the Prime HB and Prime SD stand out among other fleet-focused vehicles in the market.
Warranty, Finance and Fleet Support
Hyundai is also offering attractive ownership benefits for fleet customers. Buyers can opt for an extended warranty for the 4th and 5th year or up to 1,80,000 km, whichever comes earlier. This helps reduce long-term maintenance worries. For easier purchase, Hyundai provides flexible finance options with a repayment tenure of up to 72 months. In addition, the company has introduced trained fleet care advisors at dealerships to offer dedicated support for taxi and fleet operators.
