In 2025 BMW Motorrad Crosses Massive 2 Lakh Sales Worldwide

BMW Motorrad has achieved a major global milestone in 2025 by crossing 2 lakh motorcycle sales worldwide, once again proving its strong position in the premium two-wheeler market. According to the latest official data, BMW Motorrad recorded total global sales of 2,02,563 motorcycles in 2025, making it the fourth consecutive year the brand has crossed the 2 lakh sales mark globally.

This achievement is even more impressive because it came at a time when the global 500cc and above motorcycle segment is facing a slowdown. Despite market challenges, BMW Motorrad continued to grow, driven by strong demand for its adventure, sport, and premium touring motorcycles.

2025 BMW Motorrad Sales Overview

One of the biggest contributors to BMW Motorrad’s success in 2025 was the BMW R 1300 GS lineup. The adventure touring motorcycles BMW R 1300 GS Leads Global Sales in 2025. The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure emerged as the highest-selling BMW motorcycle globally, with 33,570 units sold. Close behind was the standard BMW R 1300 GS, which recorded 32,555 units. These numbers clearly show the strong global demand for BMW’s flagship GS adventure bikes.

In the sport motorcycle segment, the iconic BMW S 1000 RR secured the third position with 11,643 units sold, highlighting its continued popularity among performance bike enthusiasts.

BMW Motorrad ended the year on a high note. In December 2025 alone, the company sold 15,109 motorcycles globally, making it the third-best December in BMW Motorrad’s history. This strong year-end performance played a key role in pushing overall annual sales beyond the 2 lakh mark.

Europe Remains BMW Motorrad’s Biggest Market

Europe continued to be BMW Motorrad’s strongest region in 2025. The brand sold 1,18,814 motorcycles across Europe, with Germany leading as the top market. Germany recorded 25,516 units, followed by France with 19,019 motorcycles sold. Italy stood close behind with 16,692 units, while Spain contributed 14,005 units to the total European sales.

BMW Motorrad Sales Outside Europe

Outside Europe, BMW Motorrad also delivered strong numbers in key international markets. The United States recorded 14,869 units, while Brazil followed closely with 14,488 units sold. China also showed solid growth, with 10,555 motorcycles delivered in 2025.

BMW Motorrad India Achieves Highest-Ever Sales

BMW Motorrad India also had its best-ever year in 2025, delivering 5,841 motorcycles in the domestic market. The BMW G 310 RR emerged as the best-selling BMW motorcycle in India, showing strong demand for affordable premium sports bikes in the country. This milestone reflects BMW Motorrad’s growing presence and brand trust in the Indian two-wheeler market.

Middleweight, Four-Cylinder and Urban Mobility Sales Breakdown

The middleweight motorcycle segment, which includes models like the F 800 GS, F 900 R, and F 900 GS, performed exceptionally well. This category recorded 41,166 units sold globally, proving its popularity among riders looking for performance and practicality. The four-cylinder motorcycle segment, which includes high-performance bikes, contributed 28,408 units to the total sales.

BMW Motorrad’s Urban Mobility lineup, including the C 400 GT, C 400 X, CE 04, and CE 02, also showed steady growth. These models together accounted for over 18,400 units sold, highlighting the rising demand for premium scooters and electric mobility solutions.
