KTM 390 Adventure R Launched at Rs 3.78 Lakh: All You Need to Know

KTM India has officially launched the KTM 390 Adventure R in the Indian market, strengthening its adventure motorcycle lineup. Priced at Rs 3.78 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Adventure R is built for riders who want serious off-road performance with KTM’s race-proven engineering. Bookings are now open across KTM dealerships in India for a token amount of Rs 2,000. Let’s take a closer look at what the KTM 390 Adventure R offers and why it stands out from the standard model.

The KTM 390 Adventure R price in India starts at Rs 3.78 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested buyers can book the motorcycle at any authorised KTM showroom by paying a small booking amount of Rs 2,000. This makes it easy for adventure bike enthusiasts to reserve the bike early.

The KTM 390 Adventure R is available in a single colour option, featuring KTM’s signature orange and white theme. It gets a finished trellis frame along with unique graphics that highlight its off-road identity.

One of the major changes in the KTM 390 Adventure R is the use of tube-type spoke wheels. Unlike the standard 390 Adventure, which comes with tubeless wheels, the Adventure R gets spoke wheels similar to the international-spec 390 Adventure R and Enduro R models. This setup is preferred for extreme off-road riding as it handles rough terrain better. The bike also features a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel combination, wrapped in knobby-pattern Mitas tyres, offering excellent grip on dirt, gravel, and rocky surfaces.

WP Apex Suspension and Seat Height

The biggest upgrade on the KTM 390 Adventure R is its high-spec WP Apex suspension. The bike now offers 230mm suspension travel at both the front and rear. For comparison, the standard KTM 390 Adventure gets 200mm travel at the front and 205mm at the rear. This increase in suspension travel makes the Adventure R more capable on challenging trails and improves damping performance, especially during aggressive off-road riding.

To support its off-road-focused nature, the seat height of the KTM 390 Adventure R is now 870mm, which is taller than the standard version. The ground clearance has also increased to 272mm, allowing riders to tackle obstacles like rocks and deep ruts with ease.
