MG Motor India is all set to expand its SUV portfolio with the launch of its new flagship model, the MG Majestor, in India on 12 February 2026. First showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, the MG Majestor has already created strong buzz among SUV lovers. This upcoming full-size SUV will sit above the MG Gloster and will become the most premium offering from Morris Garages in the Indian market.
MG Majestor: A New Flagship SUV from Morris Garage
The MG Majestor is positioned as a full-size luxury SUV, designed to compete with some of the most popular premium SUVs in India. According to MG, the Majestor will represent the brand’s top-end product, focusing on bold design, strong road presence, and powerful performance. With its launch date now confirmed, expectations are high for this new model.
MG Majestor Exterior
In terms of design, the MG Majestor looks big, bulky, and commanding. The SUV takes strong inspiration from the Maxus D90, which is already sold in markets like Saudi Arabia and China. At the front, the Majestor gets a massive bumper along with vertically positioned LED headlights and DRLs, giving it a very aggressive look.

From the side, the SUV features thick body cladding above the wheel arches, which adds to its rugged appeal. It also comes with 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, similar in style to those seen on the MG Gloster. At the rear, the MG Majestor gets wide edge-to-edge LED tail-lamps, and just above them sits the Morris Garages logo, enhancing its premium feel.

MG Majestor Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the MG Majestor is expected to use the same 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine found in the MG Gloster. This engine produces 216 hp and 479 Nm of torque. In the Gloster, this motor is paired with an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox and a 4WD system, and the Majestor is likely to offer the same setup.
Interestingly, the same engine in the China-spec Maxus D90 delivers a slightly higher 500 Nm of torque, so there is a possibility that MG may tune the engine further for the Majestor. Overall, buyers can expect strong highway performance and excellent off-road capability.
MG Majestor Expected Price in India
The MG Majestor price in India is expected to be higher than the MG Gloster, which currently costs between Rs 38.33 lakh and Rs 42.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Since the Majestor will be MG’s flagship SUV, it will likely come with more premium features and a higher price tag.
MG Majestor Rivals in Indian Market
Once launched, the MG Majestor will compete with well-established SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq. With its bold styling, powerful diesel engine, and premium positioning, MG aims to attract buyers looking for a strong alternative in the full-size SUV segment.
