Nissan is officially announced the new Indian MPV segment with the launch of the all-new Nissan Gravite. This upcoming MPV is expected to be a practical, family-friendly, and budget-focused option for Indian buyers. Here is everything you need to know about the Nissan Gravite MPV launch in India.
According to Nissan, the Nissan Gravite will launch in India by January 2026. The company has confirmed that bookings will also start in January 2026, while deliveries are expected to begin from March 2026. This gives customers enough time to explore the car before it reaches showrooms across the country.

Nissan Gravite What’s New?
The new Nissan Gravite is built on the CMF-A platform, the same platform used by the Renault Triber. This platform is known for being lightweight, cost-effective, and suitable for Indian road conditions. The Gravite will be a proper 7-seater MPV, making it ideal for large families and people who need extra space for daily use and travel.
In terms of design, the Nissan Gravite looks bold and bulky, clearly aiming to stand out in the MPV segment. From the teaser image, the rear gets a large “Gravite” badge, along with new stylish taillights that give it a modern feel. At the front, the MPV features a sharper design, a full-width LED light setup, and a large, muscular bonnet with “Gravite” badge, which adds to its strong road presence.

Nissan Gravite Engine Options and Price
Nissan will offer the Gravite with two petrol engine options. Buyers can choose between a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine for everyday driving or a more powerful 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine for better performance. Both engines will be available with manual and automatic transmission options, giving customers flexibility based on their driving preference.
Nissan Gravite Expected Price
The expected price of the Nissan Gravite in India starts from around Rs. 6 lakh (ex-showroom). If launched at this price point, it will be one of the most affordable 7-seater MPVs in the country, targeting budget-conscious buyers who want space, style, and practicality.
Along with the Gravite launch, Nissan has also announced plans to expand its dealership network across India. The company aims to increase its presence to 250 outlets nationwide, which will improve sales reach and after-sales service for customers.
