This upcoming electric SUV is expected to attract a lot of attention as it combines Toyota’s trusted brand value with modern EV technology and a practical driving range.
Toyota Urban Cruiser EV Details
The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV India launch marks an important step for the Japanese carmaker in the growing EV market. Toyota will introduce the Urban Cruiser EV as its first BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) for Indian buyers. The SUV is designed to suit urban as well as highway driving, making it a strong option for families looking to switch to electric mobility.
In terms of styling, the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV design will be largely similar to the Maruti e Vitara. The SUV will feature a closed-off front grille, which is a common design element in electric vehicles. It will also come with active air flaps, improving aerodynamics and overall efficiency. The exterior look is further enhanced by 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and body-coloured ORVMs, giving the SUV a clean and modern appearance.

Advanced safety and features
Toyota is expected to equip the Urban Cruiser EV with an ADAS system, which will improve safety and driving comfort. This makes it suitable for both city traffic and long highway journeys. With these features, the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV aims to offer a premium and future-ready driving experience.

Interior layout and cabin features
Inside the cabin, the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV interior will get a stylish dual-tone theme that adds a premium feel. The dashboard layout will include vertical AC vents and button-based HVAC controls, making it easy for beginners and first-time EV buyers to use. A single-pane sunroof will add to the airy cabin experience.

The SUV will also feature a two-spoke steering wheel, along with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system for connectivity and entertainment. In addition, a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster will display important driving and battery information clearly, helping drivers stay informed at all times.
Battery options, power and driving range
Mechanically, the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV battery and range details are quite impressive. The electric SUV will be offered with two LFP battery pack options. The first is a 48.8kWh battery, producing 142bhp and 192.5Nm of torque, while the larger 61.1kWh battery will generate 172bhp and 192.5Nm of torque. Toyota claims a driving range of up to 500km, which should reduce range anxiety and make the Urban Cruiser EV suitable for daily commutes as well as long trips.
