Kia Syros EV Battery and Power
The Kia Syros EV is expected to share its mechanical setup with the Hyundai Inster EV, as both brands use common technology. The electric SUV is likely to come with two battery options: a 42kWh battery pack producing 95bhp and 147Nm torque, and a bigger 49kWh battery pack delivering 113bhp and 147Nm torque.
Another major highlight of the Kia Syros EV will be its 120kW DC fast charging support, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. This makes long trips more convenient, as drivers can recharge during a short break. Like the Kia Creta Electric, the Syros EV is expected to use an NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) battery pack instead of an LFP unit. NMC batteries generally offer better energy density and improved performance. Because of this advanced battery technology, Kia is likely to provide an 8-year battery warranty, ensuring long-term reliability and peace of mind for buyers.
