The Mahindra XEV 9S has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 19.95 lakh ex-showroom, going up to Rs 29.45 lakh ex-showroom, making it Mahindra’s latest 3-row electric SUV built on the advanced INGLO born-EV platform. Mahindra has confirmed that bookings for the XEV 9S will open on 14 January 2026, and deliveries will begin from 23 January 2026, giving buyers an early chance to experience the brand’s newest electric SUV.
Mahindra XEV 9S Exterior and Dimensions
The Mahindra XEV 9S features a bold SUV design with a closed-off grille, connected LED DRLs, triangular LED headlamps, and a long bonnet that adds to its strong road presence. The rear profile is clean and upright, equipped with smoked LED tail-lamps and a redesigned bumper. Mahindra has also introduced a special Butterfly emblem on this model, making it look more premium and futuristic.
In terms of dimensions, the XEV 9S offers a wheelbase of 2,762mm, 915mm space at the front, 1,099mm space at the rear, and an impressive 219mm ground clearance suitable for Indian roads. The height stands at 1,745mm, and with the third row folded, the SUV provides a spacious 527-litre boot, along with an additional 150-litre frunk for added storage.

Mahindra XEV 9S Interior and Features
The interior of the Mahindra XEV 9S is designed to offer a modern and tech-rich experience, featuring a premium triple-screen layout on the dashboard. It includes a large digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment display, and an additional third screen beside it. The second row also gets two extra screens, giving the cabin a total of five screens for entertainment and vehicle controls.
The top variant also includes a Head-Up Display (HUD) for enhanced driving convenience. Every variant of the XEV 9S comes with sliding and reclining second-row seats, an openable panoramic sunroof, Boss mode for seat adjustment, BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) support, multi-color ambient lighting, a Harman Kardon sound system, dual-zone climate control, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) for added safety.
Mahindra XEV 9S Range and Battery Pack

Mahindra offers the XEV 9S with three battery pack options: 59kWh, 70kWh, and 79kWh, all supporting up to 175kW fast charging. The entry-level Pack One Above variant comes with 59kWh and 79kWh battery choices, both powering the rear wheels.
The XEV 9S with the 59kWh battery offers an ARAI-rated range of up to 521 km, while the 79kWh variant delivers up to 679 km, making it one of the longest-range EVs in its class. The 79kWh Pack One Above model is priced at Rs 21.95 lakh.
The mid-spec Pack Two Above trim comes with a new 70kWh battery offering up to 600 km range, priced at Rs 24.45 lakh, while the 79kWh option in the same trim costs Rs 25.45 lakh. The top-spec Pack Three and Pack Three Above trims are offered only with the 79kWh battery option, priced at Rs 27.35 lakh and Rs 29.45 lakh, respectively.
