The Indian automotive sector continues its rapid growth trajectory, with major car manufacturers reporting strong sales performance in March 2026. Brands like Hyundai Motor India Limited, Mahindra & Mahindra, and JSW MG Motor India have posted impressive year-on-year (YoY) growth figures, reflecting rising demand in both domestic and export markets.
Hyundai Sales March 2026
Hyundai recorded an 8.5% YoY growth in domestic sales and achieved total Q4 (January to March 2026) sales of 2,08,275 units, marking an 8.7% increase compared to the previous year. Domestic Q4 sales stood at 1,66,578 units, while exports reached 41,697 units, showing a growth of 9.4%.
This is Hyundai’s highest-ever quarterly domestic sales since its inception. In March 2026 alone, Hyundai reported total sales of 69,004 units, including 55,064 units in the domestic market and 13,940 units in exports, making it the brand’s highest-ever domestic sales for the month of March.

Mahindra Sales March 2026
Mahindra & Mahindra also delivered an outstanding performance in March 2026, reporting total sales of 99,969 vehicles and registering a strong 21% YoY growth. The company sold 60,272 SUVs in the domestic market compared to 48,048 units in March 2025, achieving an impressive 25% growth. Overall utility vehicle (UV) sales, including exports, stood at 62,109 units. The company also recorded its highest-ever annual sales, with SUV sales reaching 6,60,276 units (up 20% YoY) and light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales at 2,89,597 units (up 13% YoY).

JSW MG Motor India Sales March 2026
JSW MG Motor India reported a 19% YoY growth in March 2026, with total sales of 6,528 vehicles, including both internal combustion engine (ICE) and new energy vehicles (NEVs). The company has also announced a price increase of up to 2% across its entire lineup, effective from April 1, 2026. Additionally, prices for MG Select models, including the Cyberster and M9 MPV, have been increased by up to 7%.
