New Mahindra XUV 700 Three Powerful Rivals SUV Launching Soon!

The SUV market in India is growing rapidly, with the New Mahindra XUV 700 already making waves for its premium features and strong performance, other automakers also announced their new SUV cars in the country that will launching soon and become its top competitors.

1. Nissan 7-Seater SUV – Launch Expected by End of 2026

After showcasing the Nissan TEKTON 5-seater model, the company is now set up to launch a 7-seater SUV in India. The Nissan 7-Seater price in India is expected to range between Rs 17 lakh to Rs 26 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Under the hood, it is expected to use a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine and might also come with a hybrid powertrain option. Nissan is likely to launch this new SUV by the end of 2026. Just like the TEKTON, this new 7-seater SUV will feature a premium interior loaded with modern tech such as:

Large touchscreen infotainment system
Wireless smartphone connectivity
360-degree camera and ADAS
Ventilated and powered seats
Premium upholstery and advanced safety features

2. Renault Boreal – Launch Expected by Mid-2026

Another strong rival coming soon is the Renault Boreal, which has already been officially revealed in international markets. The Renault Boreal price in India is expected between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 26 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Globally, the Renault Boreal gets a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine (158 bhp & 270 Nm) paired with a DCT gearbox, though the India-specific version details are yet to be confirmed. This SUV is designed to compete head-to-head with the Mahindra XUV 700, offering an impressive range of premium features, including:

Dual 10-inch screens (infotainment + instrument cluster)
Ambient lighting and panoramic sunroof
Front memory seats with massage function (driver)
Wireless charging and Harman Kardon sound system
Level 2 ADAS and connected car tech

3. Upcoming Hyundai 7-Seater SUV – Launch Expected in 2027

Hyundai is also preparing to enter the 7-seater battle with a brand-new SUV that will give the new name to Hyundai Alcazar. The expected price for this upcoming Hyundai 7-seater is between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 27 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Though the company hasn’t revealed a launch timeline yet, but it could be Launch Expected in 2027, reports suggest it might adopt the design language of the new Creta and bring several advanced features, such as, Powertrain options may include a 1.5-litre hybrid engine, offering both performance and efficiency. This SUV is expected to debut around 2027.
