Good News for Yamaha Fans Prices Reduced After GST 2.0! After the introduction of the new GST 2.0 rule, Yamaha India has officially reduced the prices of its two popular models the Yamaha YZF R3 and the Yamaha MT 03 by up to Rs 20,000. This move makes these powerful 300cc motorcycles more affordable for Indian buyers who love sporty yet reliable performance bikes.

Before the GST 2.0 update, the Yamaha YZF R3 was priced at Rs 3,59,900 (ex-showroom). After the update, it now costs Rs 3,39,028 (ex-showroom), which means buyers get a direct benefit of Rs 20,872.

The Yamaha R3 is powered by a 321 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that delivers 41.4 bhp of maximum power at 10,750 rpm and 29.5 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox that follows a 1 down, 5 up gear shifting pattern, and it comes equipped with an assist and slipper clutch for smoother and safer downshifts.

The Yamaha YZF R3 offers a top speed of around 170 kmph and delivers an impressive mileage of 30 kmpl, supported by a 14-litre fuel tank, giving it a riding range of about 420 km. The R3 weighs 169 kg, making it stable yet manageable for everyday and sporty rides.

In terms of safety and comfort, the Yamaha R3 features dual-channel ABS with 110/70 – R17 front tyre and 140/70 – R17 rear tyre, both tubeless for better grip and safety. The bike uses USD telescopic front forks and a mono-cross rear suspension with preload adjuster, ensuring smooth handling and balance. It is built on a strong diamond-type chassis, designed for precision and performance.

The Yamaha MT 03 also gets a price cut. It was previously priced at Rs 3,49,900 (ex-showroom), and after the GST 2.0 update, it now costs Rs 3,29,608 (ex-showroom) giving customers a price benefit of Rs 20,292.

The MT 03 shares the same engine as the R3 but little bit tuning, a 321cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder motor that produces 41.4 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 29.5 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. It also uses a 6-speed manual gearbox with a 1 down, 5 up shift pattern and comes equipped with an assist and slipper clutch for a refined riding experience.

This streetfighter Yamaha MT 03 offers a top speed of around 170 kmph and delivers a slightly higher mileage of 35 kmpl due to its lighter build. It comes with a 14-litre fuel tank and weighs 167 kg, making it agile and perfect for city rides.

For safety, the MT 03 includes dual-channel ABS, along with 110/70 – R17 front tyres and 140/70 – R17 rear tyres, ensuring great grip on all road conditions. The suspension setup includes USD telescopic front forks and a swingarm rear suspension with 125 mm travel and preload adjuster. Like the R3, it also uses a diamond-type chassis for superior handling and strength.
